Laura, performed by Belén Rueda, is a woman who goes back to the orphanage where she grew up. She has the intention of opening a new residence for children with psychological problems. Simón, Laura’s son, has AIDS, but he is taking a special medicine to reduce the pain. Furthermore, Simón is adopted, but he doesn’t know it. Then, Simón starts to get carried away by strange games and his mother is worried about it because then the games become a threat. Simón disappears and his mother starts to hear sounds in her new house. Six months later Simón is still missing and Laura, who is desperate, contacts a woman who talks with the spirits to know where the strange noises come from. Belén Rueda performs that role very well. She makes you feel like you are there, hearing the children running in the corridors at night. It is one of the scariest films I have ever seen. The music is great, it involves you in the film and makes you fell the fear in your bones. The great results of the film are due to the direction, which was brilliant. In my opinion, you must see this film if you like spooky films, because if you think that you have seen everything at the cinema, you are wrong. I can assure you that you will jump in your seat more than once. It deserves the Oscar award. Isaac Jiménez Díez
